Wen Yaping, also known as Wen Ping, was born in Foshan with the name Longshan. He is currently a national first-class artist Wen Yaping, (United States) Dean of the Chinese Academy of Painting, a member of the Asian Art Association, and a special painter of the Asian Art Academy. Two works with the theme of Xiqiao Mountain are collected by the Great Hall of the People and Zhongnanhai. In 2011, CCTV's "Life of Calligraphy and Painting" gave a special report on him; at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Artists Association, he created the painting "Ninety Pandas" as a gift for the 90th anniversary of the founding of the party, which was exhibited in the Beijing Military Museum. Wen Yaping held a solo exhibition in Beijing, and successively held several touring exhibitions in many places in China. His works were well received. Many colorful ink paintings "Panda", "Zhangjiajie", "American Scenery", etc. were selected for auction at the Asian Games; works "Landscape" was collected by the Asian Games National Chinese Painting Exhibition; the landscape painting "American Scenery" won the 2010 China Artists Association "16th Asian Games Chinese Painting Exhibition" Excellence Award; Chinese painting work "Banling Springs compete for the flow, strange stones like a thirsty horse", "Xiqiao Scenery" was collected by the Great Hall of the People and Zhongnanhai. The 10-meter long colorful ink work "Ninety Pandas" was invited to participate in a large-scale national exhibition celebrating the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Many colorful ink works and traditional Chinese paintings were auctioned at the Beijing Poly Spring Auction, Hanhai Spring Auction, and Guangdong Provincial Art Auction. In March 2011, he accepted on-site interviews and painted paintings in the "Calligraphy and Painting Life" column of CCTV.

Wen Yaping's landscape works entered the domestic auction market for the first time and were favored by many collectors. His work "Tianchi" (186cm×106cm, estimated value of 160,000 to 180,000 yuan) was sold at the Beijing Hanhai Spring Auction for 200.7 million yuan. The work "Winter Day" (140cm×309cm, estimated at RMB 2.8-380,000) was sold at the Beijing Poly Spring Auction for a high price of RMB 368,000, and the work "Jungle Surprising Bird" was sold for RMB 184,000, which was auctioned in Guangdong province just after the conclusion. At the meeting, the work "Exotic Style" was sold for 115,000 yuan.
